About Hive Films

Hive Films are a UK based film production company, creating feature films for world wide distribution and theatrical release.

Established in 2008 by Director/Producer Rhys Davies Hive’s first feature, ‘Zombie Undead’, was completed in 2010 and is distributed in the UK by Metrodome. The film has secured a sales agent to handle distribution in other territories. ‘Zombie Undead’ was selected for screening on the opening night of Fantasporto 2011 (the world’s premier fantasy film festival) where it was described as ‘the purest British gore’.

Acclaimed novelist Rod Duncan joined Hive Films in 2009 as co-writer and co-producer. Hive Films are currently in production on their second feature ‘43 Pounds’ (a post-modern documentary). Further slated projects include ‘Memorabilia’ (A group of one-time school friends set out on a Star-Wars themed quest to save a princess) and ‘The Desolation’ (A psychologically disturbed ex-soldier’s convalescence in a desolated cottage descends into insanity ).

Rhys and Rod have led numerous film making and story workshops.
